Members of the Board and their brief background:

Sri Kottam Tulasi Reddy Memorial Education Society has been formed with an intention of providing facilities of excellent higher education at the door steps of educationally and economically backward rural area of different places and to ultimately provide the people of the area not only with quality education but also opportunity to develop a wholesome personality with physical discipline and spiritual and moral values.

The vision of the promoting body is to alleviate ignorance of the local people and to motivate and assist them to go for higher education that would results in pulling up the economy above the poverty line with in a span of 15 years. This long term goal is achieved through expunction of the post graduate programs and opening up of research facilities accreditation. These are possible through co-ordination and co-operation of the industry, AICTE, UGC etc.

    1. Sri. K.L. Narasimham, a Civil engineer with 20 years of teaching experience and 25 years of educational administration in planning and development of technical institutions in the government and private sectors.

  • Nature and Extent of involvement of faculty and students in academic affairs/improvements:
    1. Faculty involve in teaching after preparing course plan and lesson plan of the subject.
    2. Tutorials are conducted every week.
    3. Quiz tests are conducted, five per semester.
    4. Assignments are given for each unit of the syllabus.
    5. Laboratory classes are conducted to develop the practical skills of students.
    6. Students are encouraged to present seminars and participate in group discussions and debates to improve communication and presentation skills.
    7. Students are guided in mini projects in third year and projects in the final year.
    8. Students are taken on industrial visits to acquire knowledge on the state of art technology.
    9. Students organize national level inter college technical paper symposia.
    10. Faculty of the college organizes workshops for the faculty of various engineering colleges of the state on various subjects.
    11. Students participate in co curricular, extracurricular and sports competition conducted at other engineering colleges.
    12. Based on experience and feedback from industry, the faculty advises the University regarding the need for changes in syllabi.

  • Mechanism/Norms & Procedure for democratic/good Governance:
    1. The service rules are framed and approved by the governing body. All the staff members are governed by these rules.
    2. A copy of the service rules is given to each employee at the time of joining the college.
    3. College academic committee comprising of the Principal, Heads of departments and senior faculty, take decisions regarding academic and disciplinary matters pertaining to the college.
